Holiday Inn Hub Visualization
Description | For this standalone PC Unity visualization I coded all navigation and behavior in C#. To create the assets, I leveraged existing 3Ds Max models created for static renderings of the space and re-worked them for use in Unity. In addition I generated VRay baked maps for all of the objects (this project pre-dated the Beast Lightmapping capability in Unity). For the dynamic messaging I divided up the space into a number of zones using colliders; entering one of these zones triggered C# events that managed the display of GUI elements portraying information tied to the project's journey map. The images in this gallery are screenshots from the actual Unity application. BACKGROUND From the Continuum website: "Continuum, working in partnership with Holiday Inn and ai3, created the Hub -- transforming Holiday Inn lobbies into combination coffeehouses, mini-marts, pubs, and video arcades. The flow-through lobby attracts guests day and night" The goal of this project was to create a real-time digital experience that would educate owners, operators and employees of Holiday Inn about the unique service, food & beverage and architectural design of the Hub concept. |
