BBVA Bank of the Future iPad Tour Guide
Description | This iPad app is a self-guided tour of the BBVA Bank of the Future space at the bank’s Innovation Center in Madrid (see Project Details below). I was the primary developer and responsible for all IOS coding. I developed the app using a hybrid of native IOS programming (C# using Monotouch) and HTML5/CSS/Javascript content. A key feature is how the app leverages QR code video capture to "register" visitors at various touch points within the tour space. The app also utilizes a simple content-replacement strategy whereby all application content (images, text copy etc.) can be swapped out without requiring a recompile or redeployment of the app. PROJECT DETAILS From the Continuum website: "Working with Continuum, BBVA has created the Bank of the Future -- a new customer-centric service model for retail banking that is adaptable to a range of markets across the globe." "Continuum helped BBVA make the new customer-centric service model real and compelling to its people by building a prototype of the Bank of the Future so that leaders in the company could experience the future first hand." In 2011 BBVA asked Continuum to create a self-guided tour of the BBVA Innovation Center in Madrid, on the iPad. Users can follow a scripted tour by selecting a persona and following their journey as they experience the Bank of the Future, or can experience individual touch points by selecting them from a dynamic map of the space or directly from a scrolling display. |
