Description | In 2009 I developed a process for delivering rendered images to the Sprint team as layered Photoshop files, with the elements containing brand messaging graphics left neutral gray, and in their own layers. Designers could then evaluate various combinations of graphics by dropping them onto these gray areas. The goal was to avoid the artists having to mask out regions when partially obscured by other elements. Borrowing from the world of compositing, I used a variety of VRay render passes to maintain subtle shadows, as well as let designers "dial-in" additional effects like window reflections. |
